Guishem SS12

This was my first time being invited to Guishem. The collection, based in Mexico City, was full of bright hues with cuts on cuts. The symmetrical pieces and made we want to dress someone right then and there in this collection.

I hope to see this culture-rich collection on the Red Carpets of the upcoming awards season!

KMart Concierge

During Fashion Week, I received a tweet and was invited into the KMart Concierge program. KMart would send me something I desperately need via messenger. It was perfect!

Mr. Valentino Graces NYFW SS12

Right after the Diane von Fursentberg show, I went out to the lobby as I usually do. After grabbing a bottle of water I noticed a massive commotion. Then I overheard someone say, "It's Valentino!" I ran through the crowd so I could grab a photo!

Katya Lenovich SS12

I love presentations more than fashion shows (say it ain't so!). Presentations allow me to get closer to each piece and its more casual. As much as I love a good runway show, presentations are also very good for late people like myself!

This was Katya's first collection in the US. It was divine. A commercialized Russian feel came from each piece. As well, the bright colors, unique cuts, and avant garde-like pieces made this a very enjoyable relief from many of collections I had already seen.

What I learned:

• Clean your skin every night, NO MATTER WHAT!
• Sun block every day, even if it is cloudy.
• NO harsh chemicals.
• Be aware of what your are putting on your skin.

Next, I learned you are what you eat:

• What you eat will determine your skin type (sometimes).
• Drink plenty of water.
• One one glass/bottle of alcohol per occasion.
