A new Follower!

I was so thrilled to see this email:

Kay Unger is an incredible designer and is very sweet. She is actively involved with many charities as well.

Kay tweeted me this:

As you can tell she is wonderful! Check out some pictures from her fashion show at Saks at Tysons Galleria:

Keeping warm in the cold with...

VINCE! Talk about wearing baby-bottom smooth on you skin! That is what the material of my Vince hooded-shirt feels like!

Vince is known for their amazing sweaters and I picked up my shirt from Scoop NYC in SoHo last year around this time. Enjoy my impromptu photo shoot pics:

The Scarf Party

As you may recall, I was invited to a scarf party. Now, having attended it, I can say, it was a lot of fun!

First, a note to all GPS users: the location isn't accurate in the GPS system. The store is there, don't worry though! Just make sure you turn on to West Broad Street.

Now with this said, on to my review. The event was very nice and had a great theme. Almost everyone there had a scarf on. When I walked in, I was greeted by Marymount Fashion Club girls and was told the night's happenings. My friend whom invited me, Lydia Russo, was so kind and even gave me a gift since my birthday was the next day! That was very sweet and that just made my night. For an event producer to give a gift to guest is very, very sweet!

I snagged these pictures of the event! They are after the jump!

Taking Fashion to New Heights Review

Our newest reporter, Amanda Bater, reports on the event.:

Taking Fashion to NEW Heights FALL Runway Show
by: Amanda Bater

“Style is and attitude, we were born with it while others became accustom to it.”
Terrance Payton told me this quote while I was there and I loved it!
Most people go to fashion shows and admire the clothes and the style but this show was different. People could relate to other figures besides your typical model. The fashion I saw was urban and main stream. All the designers I spoke with were inspired by different things like relationships, Vegas, Lady Gaga, other countries and more. This event made everyone feel they could be front row since the models walked all over the aviation museum so everyone could see the clothes up close or up top on the balcony. I wish more people could do shows like this!

Back Post: Picking the clothes for the shoot

So as I just posted about, I styled a shoot for Fashion Fights Poverty, but we had to pick the clothes for that shoot.

This is what we saw at Mint Condition, a chic consignment boutique in Old Town, VA. Pics after the jump!

Project Runway invitation

Ok, FINALLY I took a picture of the invitation. Sorry it has taken forever.

Here are all the items.

Ok, so Dear Lifetime, I am sorry I "borrowed" my seat sign and will never return. Please don't let this stop you from inviting me to the next year's Project Runway Finale. I had to show it to my school so I could have an excused absence.

Yours Truly, Ryan Charchian

Here is the invitation (left) and my badge (right) to give me all access and it counted as my VIP pass.

Well I apologize again for the lateness but now I am caught up, I think.

All Access Fashion 2010: Breakfast with Carmen Marc Valvo

Since I was able to go everywhere and to everything during All Access I went! I had to document every moment. Aba Bonney Kwawu, the Aba of the Aba Agency, asked to me to do a special task and I did not want to let here down!

So on the morning of Saturday, October 2, 2010, I went to a breakfast event for the Carmen Marc Valvo. Talk about elegance. Everything was just great; the food, the arrangements, the space, the clothing, everything! PICTURES::::

One of my downfalls is food, which will be discussed...a lot...on this blog.

All of the looks are simply beautiful, but there are so many I can't put them all up.

I wanted to show this ivory because, just look at it! The color on her skin just brings it to life. I mean it is just stunning in person!

Lastly, here is my picture with both Carmen Marc Valvo and Phillip Bloch. Also with me is my best fashion-friend Elizabeth Hogue.

All Access Fashion 2010: Lounges

During All Access there were a lot of lounges. The Starbucks Media Lounge, the FTV live stream lounge, Fashion BS lounge, and many more! Check out some of the pictures:

The Ritz-Carlton lounge offered free quick massages and....food. I mean, really, really, really good food. Look at those brownies. OMG.....

At the Fashion BS lounge I was able to get a copy of the Shopping Diet autographed by Phillip Bloch! I have been on Fashion BS for the Teen Revolution episode discussing Fashion and teenager influences in the industry.

And here is a lonely picture of the Starbucks Media Lounge. Sorry! I forgot to take more of this lounge!

All Access Fashion 2010: Part 2

My apologies for doing this in parts. It just keeps me more organized. But now for the good stuff! I really haven't talked about fashion just yet, but now I shall. Here are pics from the main show of All Access Fashion. This was the debut of the Paul Sinclaire's Sinclaire 10 collection from Saks. Enjoy

This is a picture looking down on the event floor from the second level outside Burberry. I had All Access to the entire event.

I spy Paul Wharton and Stacie Scott Turner from the Real Housewives of DC. Other Housewives came out that evening as well.
Please don't mind the lighting. It was changing constantly with the pounding of the music.

Another eye spy. This time Kate Michaels, former Miss DC.

All Access Fashion 2010: Part 1

Sorry for that quick post. I just really wanted to get those photos up. Now, to talk about All Access. All Access Fashion is a three-day event help inside Tysons Galleria. This is the second annual time for the event. The event is produced by the Aba Agency, a luxury boutique PR firm.

The first night, which is always on a Thursday, is a again always a panel on current topics of interest. This year was The New Rules of Engagement: Luxury 2.0. They had so many executives this year!! From The Ritz-Carlton to GGP! I was so happy and mingled a lot!

All Access Fashion: Shoot for Change

Here are just a few quick pics I had taken by photographer Walter Grio for Shoot for Change, a truly amazing charity.

This last picture I am here with my friend Elizabeth Hogue. She is my right hand lady in my entire organization!

All of these pictures are statement shoots and I will hopefully be going on the 7th to their next round of shooting and then I'll get more! You are paying for professional photos but are also helping children in need.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: Project Runway Show

I am sorry to have left September and not show you the Project Runway show pictures or explain how I got invited.

Well, Tim Gunn is actually a very good professional friend of mine. He and I have bonded over our many encounters and he sent me his two tickets available to each member of the crew for the show. It was so sweet of him to do so.

Please note: I do know who the finalist are, but I can't say anything!

I will be posting more pictures on my Flickr!

It was truly one of the best days of my life! I still keep in contact with Tim and I assume I will be seeing him in the near future.

Teenage Paparazzo

This documentary was on the other night and was truly fascinating. I first read about Austin in GQ. This documentary now gives us a first hand look inside the world of a paparazzo, especially a 14 year old one.

This film made think about myself. I am very young, doing things normally only adults do. In some parts Austin is very selfish. And I wonder: Have I ever done that? I would feel really bad if I have. My worst fear is having the small amount of fame I have go to my head.

Here is clip form the Adrian Grenier-produced film:

This film really opened my eyes. I was very happy I saw it on HBO.

Austin is now 16 or older. He has changed himself. At the end of the film they catch up with him a year later. He recognizes what he was doing wrong to people and corrects it. I have to admit, I have noticed things I have done wrong (and continue to do), but I haven't changed like him. I will though, it will just take some time.
