Mr. Tahari Comes To Washington

Elie Tahari continues expanding his fan base and empire. Most recently, he opened a boutique in Tysons Galleria in McLean. Last night, April 27, was the grand opening with Mr. Tahari himself!

With Vogue as a sponsor and a charitable cause, I knew this event would be amazing. Guess What? It was!

Kay Unger Appearance At Neiman Marcus

I have meant Kay Unger three times now. Each time is a wonderful experience. Her dresses are simply stunning and fit all of her faithful customers very well! During this appearance I met a couple who could be arguably Kay's most faithful! The woman has been wearing Kay Unger pieces for the ten years she has been married.

Nicole Miller TV: Episode 1

This episode can out on March 9th. I meant to post about this earlier (and I thought I did), but since I didn't here we go! Nicole Miller is embracing social media heavily to get brand recognition (which she doesn't need to do at all in my opinion). Mary J. Blige is an incredible woman and fashionista. She launched her own sunglass collection called Melodies by MJB. During my last trip to NYC, my group and I couldn't meet with the people behind the collection, so they sent us all a pair of Melodies!

A Chic Day Of School!

I adore Chic Communications' offices! The pink walls and glass sawhorse desks are to die for and fit for an editor! The two twenty-four year olds that are in charge mean business and have a very successful PR firm called Chic PR. I told my teacher, Mrs. Symonette, about them back in December and she contacted them to come in and talk to my fashion marketing class. They did and it was a blast!

Since I referred Mrs. Symonette to them they gave me this watch! Very chic!

One of their clients is Cibu and they handed out samples!

Everyone was given a pink Chic Communications bag! These totes are very big and perfect for high schoolers! During their presentation, Morgan and Kristin, told us about how they got started and the perks and difficulties of running your own business. The thing I loved most besides their passion for they do is how they treat their interns. They both said how the get on the ground with their interns and stuff letters into envelops. They must be awesome bosses to have!

THEIA at the Kids Choice Awards

As you are aware of my obsession of all things THEIA, I was sent an e-mail about some starlets wearing the label at the Kids Choice Awards 2011 this past weekend. The starlets are two of favorite Young Hollywood up-and-comers: Victoria Justice and Jennette McCurdy.

New me, New Hela!

I traveled to Chevy Chase, Maryland, yesterday to go the Hela Salon and Spa to review another facial service. And, like the first time, it was wonderful and I recorded my adventure!



CLEANSING
Sedi, my esthetician, carefully removes oil and dead cells. You can feel you pores starting to become open.

EXFOLIATION
The second step in my facial was a mask that was an exfoliator and smelt heavenly! This mask removed more oils, but also dead skin cells. During this time as well, a device blows out stream on your face. This opens up your pores and readies them for extraction

MASSAGE
With most facials, you receive a massage. This one was focused on my upper body and mainly my face. The oils left my skin feeling smooth and baby-bottom soft. The movements during the massage start to bring up all the grime in your pores.

EXTRACTION
Beauty is pain. I told Sedi to not stop and just get everything out! Extractions are down by hand. In some cases, little tools may be used to make deep black heads and cores come up to the surface.

HYDRATION
After everything is complete, a toner is sprayed to remove anything remaining on top of the skin and then you are "sealed" with a moisturizer.

All in all, a simple hour is all it takes to make your skin be able to breathe and for you to feel relaxed and refreshed.

Anne Fontaine and FFP

Today, I attended a Fashion Fights Poverty (FFP) event at Anne Fontaine in Tysons Galleria. 10% of total sales from yesterday and today will be given to FFP to put towards all of their programs. Shoppers came in and enjoyed wonderful smoked salmon and cupcakes while shopping for a good cause!

Betsey's Prom Party!

On Thursday, I headed out into the dreary weather with my Fashion Director Elizabeth Hogue to Georgetown for the Betsey Johnson Prom Party! Each boutique will be putting on their own one, so check with your local boutique to see when your's is!

I was recently informed by a friend about a unique line from the Middle East! I just received an email with all the press photos and information and I just had to share!!

Designers Shaikha Noor Rashid Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Mohammed Al Khalifa of the high-end women’s luxury line, Noon By Noor, revealed their Fall/Winter 2011-2012 collection on Thursday, March 10th at a fashion show hosted in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Sixty guests, including journalists and prominent figures in the fashion industry, gathered at this exclusive event in the Noon By Noor showroom to witness the unraveling of thirty looks from the Fall/Winter collection.

 The information above comes from the press information sent to me. The brand looks fantastic and I could see it becoming very common among the fashion elite. Check out some looks from the show:
